Restaurants and ski rental at Sölden's glacier

Everyone is prepared for a great season start

When the Sölden glacier ski area goes into operation in autumn, there are no things by halves: the restaurants at Rettenbach and Tiefenbachferner and the Salomon Lounge pamper skiers with culinary treats, the sports shops and ski rental stations present the latest winter sports equipment on the shelves. Insiders enjoy full service on (almost) empty ski slopes.

Ski equipment for renting, testing and buying

The two Riml sports shops on Rettenbach and Tiefenbach Glaciers, as well as the Amer Station have the latest ski models in stock - and everything you probably need for a hip and trendy winter. The indecisive don't have to buy a pig in a poke because all three sports shops offer the opportunity to test your favorite material. If you have found the perfect fit after the day's skiing, you can instantly purchase it at reduced rates. An absolute must for returners: the ski depots in the sports shop at Tiefenbach Glacier and in the Amer Station at Rettenbach Glacier. So you get on the skibus or return to the valley by car without carrying any sports equipment.

Restaurant at Rettenbach Glacier

The restaurant at Rettenbach Glacier, completely renewed in 2017, makes a real milestone in Sölden's mountain gastronomy. Our guests in the ski resort don't have necessarily the same taste, and can therefore choose between the self-service area in the spacious "Rettenbach Market Restaurant" and the "Gletschertisch" restaurant with table service.

Fine Tirolean and international cuisine is topped only by uninterrupted views of the steep World Cup slope, which is particularly beautiful on the sun terrace. The "Gletscherspalte" après bar is probably the best place to sooth your tired legs over a drink or two.

Restaurant at Tiefenbach Glacier

Haste makes waste? The opposite is true in the self-service restaurant at Tiefenbach Glacier: speed AND quality are the formula for success here at 2800 meters above sea level. Freshly cooked Tirolean specialties, typical Ötztal delicacies, pizza, pasta or pastries are best enjoyed on the sun terrace or in the rustic wooden parlors, for example in the Seiterkarstüberl or Granitstube.

In general: granite and pine wood dominate the ambience in this splendid mountain restaurant. If you don't feel like skiing after your lunchtime break you can officially end the sporty day at the Glacier Bar, to switch to jovial après-ski.

Salomon Lounge at the Amer Station

Who wouldn't like to meet a real Austrian Olympic medalist? Bernhard Gstrein's Salomon Station and the homey Salomon Lounge are a popular place to warm up cold fingers at Rettenbach Glacier.

Drinks and snacks such as pizza slices, bruschetta, toast, sausages or goulash soup are served behind the large panorama windows or on the sunny terrace.

With true VIP views of the Ski World Cup slope you can indulge in your "ski day's work" and enjoy a fine drink in a jovial atmosphere.
