To commemorate the founder of the Alpenverein, Pastor Franz Senn, a memorial was erected near the parish church.The birthplace of Franz Senn and the Franz Senn Memorial Chapel are located in Unterlängenfeld and are also remind of the glacier priest.The Franz-Senn birth house can only be visited from the outside.

Rätselweg Winkelberg

Spaß am Wandern. Den hat man auf alle Fälle am Rätselweg. Mit Hilfe einer Schatzkarte (kostenlos in der Information Längenfeld erhältlich) sowie einer Handy App erforscht man den Winkelberg welcher durch einen gewaltigen Bergsturz vor 10.000 Jahren entstanden ist. Kindgerecht wird auf mehreren Lehrtafeln die Geologie des Ötztals erklärt. Fast am Ende der Wanderung erreicht man den kleinen Winkelbergsee mit dem anschließenden Natur-Wasser- Spielplatz. Nature explorers head for the scenic Maria Hilf Pilgrimage Church where also the Trail of Senses starts: enjoy a spiritual and contemplative walking tour in unspoilt surroundings. This easily ascending route travels through meadows and forests from Gries along the Stations of the Cross to the newly installed vantage platform.Here you enjoy uninterrupted panoramic views of the secluded mountain village with the mighty Stubai Alps, Schrankogel peak and Mutterberger Seepitze summit as lovely backdrop.The slightly descending trail leads to the Collegiate Chapel. The Panorama Bench is a very special resting spot along the Eckkamm Via Ferrata, combining the joy of climbing with the beauty of nature. The tour begins on a forest trail that gently leads toward the Alpengasthof am Feuerstein. From there, the path continues to the starting point of the via ferrata, where the adventure truly begins.About three-quarters of the way through the route, the Panorama Bench invites climbers to take a break. Here, you can take a deep breath, let your gaze wander across the stunning mountain landscape, and recharge for the final stretch.At the end of the via ferrata, you enter a shady forest above the Alpengasthof, which offers a welcoming atmosphere and delicious Tyrolean specialties – perfect for a well-earned stop. Afterward, the enchanting Sagenweg (Legend Trail) provides a relaxing return route to the starting point, offering the perfect opportunity to reflect on the day’s adventures.
