Miners Trail tour options

The map shows numerous hiking routes between Hochoetz and Kühtai. Each of the eight routes, which will be described in more detail, leads to the Miners House. There are both easy strolls for families as well as longer and more difficult hikes, such as the very rewarding high elevation trail (Tour 1). Special tip: Pay attention to walking times and difficulty levels in order to select the most suitable variant!

This tour is one of the longest and leads from the gondola base station in Oetz via Wetterkreuz to Knappenhaus and back again. Walking time: approx. 6 hours

The scenic route travels from Hochoetz to Ochsengarten. Walking time: approx. 4.5 hours.

Tour 3 takes hikers from Kühtai via Knappenhaus to Hochoetz. Walking time: approx. 4.5 hours

The fourth option also ranks among the longest ones and leads from the gondola base station in Ochsengarten via Knappenhaus back to the start. Walking time: approx. 5.5 hours

This route is especially recommended for families with small children as it is really short. You can start the hike directly at the Isserbrücke car park. Walking time: approx. 2 hours

An tour of intermediate length for walkers with average stamina, leading past Längental water reservoir. Walking time: approx. 4 hours

This route is designed for endurance walkers, rewarding them with breathtaking panoramic views when crossing Wörgetal saddleback. Walking time: approx. 6 hours

A challenging tour with many highlights. It leads from Ochsengarten via Knappenhaus back to Ochsengarten in a huge loop. Walking time: approx. 5.5 hours
