4 days trend

For Friday (end of the month), the development of a so-called Vb low with heavy continuous rain is expected. This will lead to a drastic cooling, and the snow line will be pushed significantly lower. Late winter will return not only in the mountains but also increasingly below the tree line. Although the intensity of the precipitation will generally decrease over the weekend due to diminishing low pressure, the weather will not really improve yet. Important note: The emerging weather situation is not entirely safe regarding localized flooding and mudslides, as the soil is gradually becoming saturated and can no longer absorb much rainwater. Whether a high-pressure system with dry and more pleasant weather will establish itself at the beginning of next week remains to be seen. The chances are not bad, though.
