The disturbance influence from Tuesday will give way to a noticeable weather improvement on Wednesday. Remaining clouds in the morning will make way for bright sunshine, dominating most of the weather events. Despite the sunshine, it will remain wintry cold. It will only become milder again on Thursday. A low-pressure system over France will direct a warm front with rapidly increasing southwesterly winds towards our region. This will bring predominately heavy cloud cover and repeated precipitation. The snowline will rise above 1500m above sea level but drop again on Friday. With infiltrating cold air and persistent thick cloud cover, further precipitation will occur, causing the snowline to drop below 1000m during the day. Over the weekend, the incoming cold air will get under the influence of high pressure. Sunshine will take control of the weather, and temperatures will consistently remain bitterly winter-cold.
