Opening Hours:Scenic "Horlachbach" brook rushes down from Niederthai into the valley from a height of 159 meters. The several meter-high area filled with water crystals can be seen from far. These clouds of water dust particles also gave the name to the "Stuiben Falls".he water particles are said to have refreshing and varied other positive effects on the hikers' health. The positive effect is scientifically proven, especially close to the water dust you are on the ion platform.A new designed hiking trail and stair construction allows you to experience the Stuibenfall at close range. Hikers and mountaineers pass the viewing platforms and the roaring waters via approx. 700 steps and an exposed 80 meter long suspension bridge leading to Niederthai - the origin of the waterfall.What's more, the wonderful Alpine flora in the falls' surroundings is a highlight not to be missed. The picturesque church of Niederthai, a true Baroque gem, is consecrated to Saint Anthony. Inaugurated and consecrated in 1698. The interior features a precious high altar in Baroque style and fresco paintings of diverse saints. Rich stucco decorations which still remind of the great importance of this parish church in the past.

St. Vitus`Parish Church - Umhausen - Oldest church in the Ötztal ValleyThe parish church of Umhausen was built in 1220. Mainly Gothic building, renewed in 1682 by adding a northern steeple and a three-sided choir stall. High-quality interior, splendid fresco paintings in Gothic style (1st half of the 14th century), filigree high altar with neo-Gothic elements, countless Baroque figures. Splendid Gothic Pietà dating back to 1360. The adjacent Nepomuk Chapel was added in 1771, featuring fresco paintings by Josef Keil. Funerary chapel with arched entrance area. Small recesses in the graveyard walls, decorated with Rococo statue of Saint Vitus (dating back to 1770). Picturesque graveyard with beautiful crosses designed by the local artist blacksmiths. Precious Stations of the Cross and wayside shrines.
