Schweinfurter Hütte

The Schweinfurter Hütte is located in the middle of the Ötztal mountains with a magnificent panorama view. The hut is very favored in summer for many mountain hiking tours and in the winter for ski mountaineering and snowshoe hiking. Hiking path:Parking: parking lot Sennhof Niederthai (next to the Information office)Start the hike at parking lot Sennhof in Niederthai. Pfarrkirche St. Martin in Tumpen

Baroque-style church built in 1665, renewed in 1719. Redesigned in Gothic style in the course of the 19th century. Artistic western steeple dating back to 1884, wonderful lancet windows. The facade features three Rococo frescoes (weather makers, good shepherd). Inside the church you find a barrel vault and relatively modest decorations dating back to the 19th and 20th centuries. Funerary chapel with barrel vault and wonderful image of the Virgin Mary.
