The Schweinfurter Hütte is located in the middle of the Ötztal mountains with a magnificent panorama view. The hut is very favored in summer for many mountain hiking tours and in the winter for ski mountaineering and snowshoe hiking. Hiking path:Parking: parking lot Sennhof Niederthai (next to the Information office)Start the hike at parking lot Sennhof in Niederthai. Kirche zur "Schmerzhaften Mutter Gottes" in Köfels

Small church in Köfels with double bay, built in 1774. Five-sided choir area and stall, steep saddleback roof, western steeple with eight-sided top part and onion-shaped tower. The outstanding vaulted interior offers rich Rococo-style decorations. Original vestry annex facing to the south. Gorgeous location on the ancient retaining wall.
