The Schweinfurter Hütte is located in the middle of the Ötztal mountains with a magnificent panorama view. The hut is very favored in summer for many mountain hiking tours and in the winter for ski mountaineering and snowshoe hiking. Still today sheep wool and linen are important nature products. Old handicrafts are still alive in two family-run shops in Umhausen. Here you can purchase sheep wool carpets, rag rugs and authentic Ötztal linen sheets.

Large triple bay chapel in Baroque style, built in 1797. Among the chapel's highlights: secluded choir area, semicircular choir stall, curved gable facades, steep saddleback roof, onion-shaped timber spire and wonderful moulds, clearly sectionalized interior. Splendid Rococo decorations such as fresco paintings by Gabriel Theunig, a high altar with countless figures (Longinus, Florian, Katherina, Barbara), precious Stations of the Cross paintings. A well-loved place for weddings amid picture-book landscapes!
