Located above the legendary Engelswand rock face, Farst is one of Ötztal's oldest settlements.If you dare ascending on the serpentines that have been cut into the steep rock (60-minute walk), you are rewarded with a fantastic panoramic view and hearty hospitality at the year-round serviced mountain inn. The picturesque church of Niederthai, a true Baroque gem, is consecrated to Saint Anthony. Inaugurated and consecrated in 1698. The interior features a precious high altar in Baroque style and fresco paintings of diverse saints. Rich stucco decorations which still remind of the great importance of this parish church in the past.
