Surrounded by the Ötztal Alps, Hotel Alt Vent Tyrol in Vent offers a spa area and a restaurant serving Tyrolean cuisine.
Opening Hours:
A very beautiful but somewhat steep hike. Start in the direction of the Martin Busch Hut, then turn right at the first hill and pass through mountain pine forests to reach the Ochsenkopf. Past the Hohler Stein, a hunting base of Ötzi, the Iceman. From there, continue in switchbacks up to the Hörnle. At the summit, you’ll find a small summit cross and a stamping point for the Ötztal Hiking Badge. Enjoy a stunning view of Vent, the highest three-thousanders such as Wildspitze (3,768 m), Ramolkogel (3,427 m), Spiegelkogel (3,424 m), and many more, as well as the Stubai Alps. Walking time: 1 1/2 h - 2 h.
On the first floor of the listed Widum, the 50 m² exhibition is dedicated to the diverse nature and cultural topics around Vent. An impressive photo gallery shows the traditional shaft drive between Vent and South Tyrol. The rich settlement history around Vent is excitingly told. These weighty topics are presented sensitively and unobtrusively, along with the tradition of field names or the history of the Alpine Club. Pictures from Ötztal Nature Park
