The route leads from Mühle in Huben to the Polltal and Breitlehnalm pastures. Hikers will soon be able to switch to the footpath, which has a steep incline, but will shorten the many hairpin bends. What is striking is the fern-rich larch and stone pine forest which you walk through almost to the very top. Once at the hut, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the valley and the Ötztal mountains. Relaxed and strengthened, it's back down to the valley. To do this, either choose the route or hike further to the Breitlehnalm and from there take the mountain climb (a little steeper) back to Huben. Walking time: 2 hours
The Sulztalalm is located at an elevation of 1,915 m. From the Gries parking lot, the path initially leads level through meadows to the Vögelasbrücke. Continuing upward along the forest path, it takes about 1.5 hours of walking to reach the hut.After a hearty meal with good home-style cooking, one can continue the hike to the Ambergerhütte. The hut is located at an altitude of 1575 m in a particularly quiet location.
