Around 30 km of hiking trails are maintained for winter hikers in the Oetz holiday region. It is up to you whether you choose a speedy route or take a leisurely stroll with all the family. In any case, your lungs will fill up with a huge portion of fresh mountain air and your mind is happy about the noise-dampening, pleasantly silent winter wonderland - which still has an infinite number of incentives to look, marvel and trace. The new winter hiking trail to "Rotes Wandl" vantage point offers several highlights. This panorama trail starts at the Hochoetz Panorama Restaurant and has 2 levels of difficulty (easy and intermediate routes). Even the youngest explorers are guaranteed to have a lot of fun on this winter hiking tour.

With young children leisurely hikes are an ideal choice. For example, “Rotes Wandl” hike in Hochoetz - featuring only 40 minutes walking time through the stone pine forest to a viewing platform. It attracts children too, as experienced mums and dads already know! The 3 Church View loop hike around the village of Sautens takes about an hour, also including a vista point as a “reward”. Splendid lake Piburger See, which nestles in a small basin above Oetz, is undeniably beautiful. A child-friendly winter hiking network stretches up from the village center and leads around the frozen lake. An absolute must: The short but fun-packed toboggan run (illuminated in the evening) from Piburg down to the lake. Toboggan rental is available on the spot in Piburg.
