Mountain Gastronomy & Huts

At the top station of Acherkogel mountain gondola the panoramic self-service restaurant, offering a large sun terrace and wonderful panoramic views, warmly invites you to stop by for a bite to eat. Look, marvel and enjoy - is the motto at eye level with the mighty peaks of the Ötztal Alps, as well as Ötztal and Inntal valleys. Hearty delicacies or brick-oven baked pizza provide enough energy for the next downhill adventure. While the kids let off steam at the WIDIVERSUM stations, open also in winter, or experience a speedy 5D adventure in WIDIs MOVIE SHUTTLE, the rest of the family prepares the sun loungers for soaking up the warm temperatures.

The modern bar in parasol-shape offers seating for about 110 people and towers on its own floor high above the terrace of the panorama restaurant. In the restaurant with table service there is a separate kitchen, where guests can choose from a variety of delicacies with a regional touch - such as gray cheese, beef tartare or classic bacon plates. After lunch a sophisticated après-ski program will keep all guests in the mood for a lovely evening.
If you would like to bring your own snack to the ski area or simply warm up, you are warmly invited to use the new self-catering room in the basement of the Hochoetz Panorama Restaurant.

Attentive service, a heartfelt atmosphere and jovial hut hours await all guests at the foot of 3008 meter high Acherkogel peak. In addition to authentic Tirolean cuisine served in the quaint dining parlors, cool drinks in all variations are available at the original ice bar. Also in winter, the hut right next the "Brunnenkopf Süd" ski run invites you to spend the night.

Due to its convenient location at about 30 walking minutes from the top station of Acherkogelbahn gondola, Balbach Alm makes a perfect meeting place for winter sports enthusiasts and hikers. Those who don't want to lose any time in the morning can stay overnight at the cozy hut and start directly into skiing adventures the next morning.
