Behind every corner walkers can discover a new mystic figure dating back to Ötztal‘s long history in story-telling. The trail features 14 stations with life-sized fabled figures that are made from scrap metal by Annemarie and Günther Fahrner.

Thematic trail along the Fischbach promenade in LängenfeldThis path was dedicated to the painter Albin Egger-Lienz, who spent many summer months in Längenfeld.

Picture-book idyll in the fairytale forestIt happened some 10,000 years ago. Still today hikers can marvel at the vast rockslide area in the surroundings of Köfels. The giant basin of Längenfeld was formed by huge amounts of water, rubble and ice. Its nearby rockslide forest is interspersed with enormous granite rocks and boulders. Can you feel the icy breath of air coming from deep inside the ravines and gorges? Of course, there is also a witch cave.Magic never ends in the Fairytale Forest. Soon you will reach jade-green Lake Winkelbergsee with the three little islands sparkling in the summer sun. A true natural gem, fed by crystal clear spring water. Slightly above little explorers find a small mountain brook and water play park with mill wheels. Mountains from a bird's eye perspectiveNot even a mighty eagle could make it to Lourdes on a single day! Even though hikers feel close to this unique pilgrimage site thanks to the small Lourdes Grotto and its statue of the Virgin Mary. You reach the chapel after conquering one third of the whole ascent. Without any effort walkers continue on the smooth forest trail leading to a giant golden eagle made of carved wood. The beautiful bird spreads out the wings covering almost 1.80 meters. You can climb the tree on a small staircase and watch the huge wings close-by. A kids‘ slide takes you down to earth again.The king of birds – enjoy yourself an Eagle‘s View from almost 1,400 m altitude. To commemorate the founder of the Alpenverein, Pastor Franz Senn, a memorial was erected near the parish church.The birthplace of Franz Senn and the Franz Senn Memorial Chapel are located in Unterlängenfeld and are also remind of the glacier priest.The Franz-Senn birth house can only be visited from the outside.
A touch of adventure."Open your eyes and through!" is the motto on the 83m long panorama suspension bridge, because the view is simply unbeatable! Completely weightless, the bold steel construction floats 220 m high above the valley floor.
