In the middle of the ski area at about 2000 meters above sea level, an igloo settlement consisting of 18 buildings surprises curious winter sports enthusiasts. Both overnight guests and skiers looking for extraordinary experiences are welcome.
Adventure-seeking guests will find an extraordinary village made of ice and snow only thirty minutes away from Balbach Alm. Created by professional snow sculptors, the semi-circular dwellings fascinate visitors with decorative ice carvings. In addition to the main igloo, several smaller dwellings of ice and snow are waiting to be inhabited by guests equipped with warm sleeping bags (provided by the organizer).
During the operating hours of the mountain lifts skiers have the opportunity to look around, have a drink at the bar or test-sleep in the show igloo. When peace and quiet again rule over the mountain, overnight guests can choose from varied activities in the evening. The range of offers comprises everything from igloo building workshops to torchlight hikes, snow slider contests and much more. Warm cheese fondue is served for dinner before the candles are lit in the snow village and romance is in the air.
