“One” is truly extraordinary in many respects, this is how the artistic work could be described best. On the one hand, because it was made of marble - a raw material that does not exist in this Alpine area. On the other hand, because the name refers to a special fictional personality from Vent. “Einer” is the title of a novel dating back to 1988. The highly acclaimed literary work was written by Norbert Gstrein, whose roots can be found in Vent as well. The main character is Jakob, an outsider in a small Alpine tourist village. The story revolves around his life and failure. Also this artwork is an outsider here on Barteb’ne although its appearance is very eye-catching: white marble prominently positioned on a small hill can be seen from afar and clearly relates to the village and its residents.
